Countess Caroline of Erbach-Fürstenau

Caroline Amalie Countess of Erbach- Fuerstenau ( born September 29, 1700 in Castle Fuerstenau, † May 7, 1758 in Hildburghausen ) was Duchess and 1745-1748 Regent of Saxony- Hildburghausen.

Life

Caroline was a daughter of Count Philipp Karl von Erbach to Fuerstenau and Michel city, men to Breuberg (1677-1736) and his first wife Countess Charlotte Amalie of Kunowitz ( 1677-1722 ).

She married on 19 June 1726 Castle Fuerstenau Duke Ernst Friedrich II of Saxe -Hildburghausen. The couple first lived in Königsberg where the Hereditary Prince Ernst Friedrich Carl was born. 1730, Ernst Friedrich his wife the pleasure palace built by Caroline Castle. 1744 was also the extension of the due date for Caroline Wittumssitz castle ice rink.

After the death of her husband in 1745 she led the regency for her minor eldest son. In a decree of 1746, they took measures against " around pulling Gypsy and beggar nation " where the death penalty was applied. They structured the Code of Criminal Procedure and to ban the sale of fiefs, allods and goods without sovereign authorization. In proceedings brought by the Duchy of Saxe -Meiningen process at the High Court for the post Sonnenfeld (1743-1752), they had to negotiate through the Privy Councilor Johann Sebastian Kobe of Koppenfels who could make the process more advantageous course.
