Countess Palatine Anne Christine of Sulzbach

Anna Christine Louise of Pfalz- Sulzbach ( born February 5, 1704 Sulzbach, Oberpfalz, † March 12, 1723 in Turin) was a Countess Palatine of Sulzbach by marriage Duchess of Savoy and Princess of Piedmont-Sardinia.

Life

Anna Christine Louise was the youngest daughter of the Duke and Count Palatine of Sulzbach Theodore Eustace (1659-1732) from his marriage to Marie Eleonore (1675-1720), daughter of the Landgrave Wilhelm I of Hesse -Rotenburg.

On March 15, 1722, she was in Vercelli with Duke Charles Emmanuel III. married of Savoy, later King of Sardinia - Piedmont.

The couple had only one son, Vittorio Amadeo ( * March 7, 1723; † August 11, 1725 ), Duke of Aosta, which, however, died in childhood. Five days after the birth of the Prince and Anna Christine died only 19 years old in the puerperium. She was buried in the Turin Cathedral of San Giovanni Battista and reburied in 1786 in the Basilica di Superga. After her death, married Charles Emmanuel 1724 Polyxena of Hesse- Rotenburg, a cousin Anna Christine.
