Counties Manukau Rugby Union

The Counties Manukau Rugby Union ( CMRU ) is the national rugby union Provincial Association of Franklin district south of Auckland on the North Island of New Zealand. The selection team of the Association in the national championship ITM Cup is called Steelers, she wears their home games at Growers Stadium in Pukekohe from.

The association was created in 1955 when the clubs of the southern suburbs of Auckland parted from the Auckland Rugby Football Union. Counties Manukau players are eligible to play in the International League Super Rugby and are summoned by the Chiefs (1995 to 1998 by the blues). The association of 18 clubs are connected.
