Country Walk is a census -designated place (CDP ) in Miami -Dade County in the U.S. state of Florida with 15,997 inhabitants ( 2010).

Geography

Country Walk is located about 25 km southwest of Miami, bordering the CDPs and Three Lakes Richmond West.

Demographics

According to the 2010 census, the then 15,997 inhabitants distributed to 4,897 households. The population density was 2253.1 inh. / Km ². 82.0 % of the population were white, 10.0% African American, 0.1% Native American and 2.7 % Asian Americans. 2.7% were members of other ethnic groups and 2.6% in different ethnic groups. 70.2 % of the population were Hispanic or Latino.

In 2010, children under the age of 18 and 21.3 % of all households lived in 54.1 % of all households with persons at least 65 years. 86.8 % of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or a parent with offspring ). The average size of a household was 3.39 persons and the average family size is 3.61 people.

30.7 % of the population were younger than 20 years, 26.3% were 20-39 years old, 30.7 % were 40-59 years old and 12.5 % were at least 60 years old. The median age was 36 years. 48.0 % of the population were male and 52.0 % female.

The average annual income was $ 74,553, while 5.2% of the population lived below the poverty line.

In 2000, English was the mother tongue of 35.79 % of the population spoke Spanish 61.78 % and 2.43 % had a different mother tongue.

The CDP is affected by the Florida State Road 825. The nearest airports are directly adjacent Kendall- Tamiami Executive Airport and Miami International Airport ( around 30 km).
