Sveitabrúðkaup (English Country Wedding ) is an Icelandic film from the year 2008. Premiere took place on 28 August 2008 at Háskólabío held in Reykjavík. It is the first film by director and editor Valdís Óskarsdóttir.

The film tells of a wedding party from Reykjavík, which is not the way to their appointed church in the country.

Action

Inga and Βarði have decided to get engaged after three years of cohabitation.

In the narrow buses tempers run high and so the pent-up rage Atli unloads on his brother - to-be soon in a fight. The bride's mother Imba fears for her lover Svanur.
