Countrywide Blue Tour in Hungary

The Országos Kéktúra ( Blue Land Tour ), abbreviated Oct, is a Hungarian long-distance footpath.

History

It was opened in 1952 and operates over 1128 km from Írottkő over Budapest until after Hollóháza. In 1983 the eastern part of Országos Kéktúra become part of the International Mountain trail of friendship Eisenach - Budapest ( EB), the only international long-distance hiking trail of the former socialist states GDR, Poland, Czechoslovakia and Hungary. ( - Pyrenees - Bodensee - Lake Balaton - Rila - Gibraltar Crete) Today, most of the Országos Kéktúra in European long distance path E4 is integrated. Two more Hungarian long-distance footpaths are to Országos Kéktúra now been added, namely the Rockenbauer Pál Dél- dunántúli Kéktúra and Alfoldi Kéktúra, which are sometimes viewed as parts of Országos Kéktúra.
