Counts of Berga

The county Berga, in Catalan Comtat de Berga, with the main town Berga was one of the Catalan counties; it was founded 988 for a younger son of Oliba cabretas, Count of Cerdanya and Count of Besalu.

The viscounts of Berga ruled in the city as deputy of the Counts of Besalu from the early 10th century.
