Courtney Love
Courtney Love ( born July 9, 1964 in San Francisco, California; actually Courtney Michelle Harrison) is an American rock singer, guitarist, song writer and actress. She plays in the band Hole.
She is the widow of Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain, with whom she a daughter, Frances Bean Cobain ( born August 18, 1992).
Life
She is the daughter of Hank Harrison and Linda Carroll. Your grandmother is Paula Fox.
Already in early childhood Love was pushed back and forth between various relatives and homes. She had her mother Linda weddings risk in their first eight years of life three surnames. She lived for a time in New Zealand, Portland ( Oregon) and hitchhiked a lot about. When she was caught at the age of 14 years at Woolworth stealing a Kiss T- shirts, began an odyssey through several homes and a reformatory.
On February 24, 1992, she married Kurt Cobain, the lead singer of the band Nirvana, in Waikīkī, Hawaii.
Their most successful period as a musician, she had as frontwoman of the band Hole. Previously, she earned her living as a stripper, inter alia, in Japan, Taiwan and Alaska. Along with Kat Bjelland ( Babes in Toyland ) and Jennifer Finch (L7 ) she played before the establishment of Hole in the band " Sugar Baby Doll". She was also a singer in the rock band Faith No More.
She was in films such as Man on the Moon, Larry Flynt - The Ugly Truth and 24 hours afraid active as an actress. For Larry Flynt - The Ugly Truth she was nominated for a Golden Globe. Love can also be seen in the video for I Wanna Be Sedated Ramones, in which she is wearing a wedding dress. She also competed for the role of Nancy in Sid and Nancy, but only got the role as Nancy's friend Gretchen.
Due to a legal dispute with the record company Geffen Records to outstanding royalties the band Nirvana and Courtney fight for this, it has also fallen out with the ex-members of the band, because they claimed the payments on their own. She claimed that Kurt Cobain was all alone and the band have therefore deserves no inheritance. In 1997, a Fender co-designed by Love guitar out, the Vista Venus, but just like the Jag - Stang, who designed Kurt Cobain, the 2006 production was discontinued.
Courtney Love often made by scandals and obscene actions during appearances in public, most recently in August 2005 in a show in the U.S. television when they first pulled her top up to free the view of her bra, then her legs for insights picked up her panties and finally put her head in the lap of her neighbors couch and pretended like she was practicing fellatio with him.
In 2004, Love released her first solo album, America's Sweetheart. The following year she was caught with drugs and spent three months in a clinic in a closed extraction and another three months of deprivation at home.
