Couzon

Couzon is a commune of 290 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Allier in the Auvergne region; it belongs to the administrative district in the canton of Moulins and Lurcy -Lévis.

Geography

The municipality is situated approximately 20 kilometers north- west of Moulins and 40 kilometers south of Nevers.

Neighboring communities of Couzon are:

  • Saint- Léopardin - d'Augy in the north,
  • Aubigny in the Northeast,
  • Agonges in the southeast and
  • Franchesse in the West.

The place is located in the far north of the municipal territory. All rivers are collected from the river Burge, which forms the eastern and northeastern boundary of the municipality, and finally empties into the Allier.
