Cover art

The term artwork ( to German as " artistic work " ) was first used in the technical language to advertising and marketing as a collective term for graphic, photographic and typographic design elements. Later, the word was also in the software development input.

Artwork means the individual artistic components which are joined together by a master manufacturer, or DTP operator for a printing template or finished artwork, such as images, photographs, drawings and texts. In software development work on graphical parts of the program and the design of symbols, icons and artwork is called certain sites.

In the music industry, the concept artwork is generally used collectively for all graphic material that is present as part of a publication, such as cover, booklet, advertising ads, posters and stickers. In particular, is " cover art " or " cover art " usually synonymous with the graphic design of an album, single or CD covers, and any accompanying printed works ( such as printed inner sleeves or booklets ).
