Covington is a city in St. Tammany Parish in Louisiana and administrative seat of the Parish.

History

The earliest European settlement took place by Jacques Dreux in 1800. 1813 John Wharton Collins founded the city called Wharton. The city was later renamed after the war hero General Leonard Covington from the British -American War.
