Rolling stock

CP Urbano de Lisboa has different, tailored to the Urban rail vehicle types. Until November 2013, there were relatively strict vehicle allocations for each line families. Has since become a new vehicle concept due to track damage to the Linha de Sintra and the resulting frequent maintenance intervals for the Series 2300/2400.

On behalf of the Comboios de Portugal produced in the years 1998 to 2001, a consortium of GEC Alsthom and CAF 30 four-part double-decker trains of the series 3500. Among the 30 vehicles are now used 18 by the private transport companies FERTAGUS. Technically very strongly oriented on the Spanish model of Baureie 450, feature the Railcars a top speed of 140 km / h and 88 seated and 85 standing passengers in the motor vehicle or 150 seated and 120 standing passengers in the sidecar. The trains run at fixed train sets of four cars. By 2013, the trains were laid on the line Castanheira do Ribatejo Alcântara -Terra in use from 2011 to 2013 also on the line Azambuja Santa Apolonia. Since November 2013, this will be used on the Sintra- line family between Rossio and Sintra.

Originally designed for the Linha de Sintra, the series was provided by Siemens in 2300 (and later 2400) developed and produced at Sorefame between 1991 and 1994, the 2400 series followed in 1997 by. The trains have a maximum speed of 120 km / h and 316 seated and 560 standing passengers. Until November 2013 CP Urbano de Lisboa put this one on the track Rossio Sintra. Since these are now on the Azambuja Azambuja line between Alcântara -Terra in use. As before 2013, this also traffics on the routes ( Sintra ) Meleças - Oriente ( - Alverca ) and since the electrification of the Linha do Alentejo in 2008 on the Linha do Sado ( Barreiro - praias do Sado ).

On the Linha de Cascais between Cais do Sodré and Cascais only vehicles specially equipped series 3150/3250 can be used as the almost self-sufficient route will be operated with 1500 volts direct current, instead of alternating voltage with the usual voltage of 25 Kilovolt/50 Hertz. Nevertheless, there is today an electroless track connection at Alcântara -Mar train station, through which the trains can get to the depots at Sete Rios.

Due to the Wagenmangelns November 2013 will also be remembered for the regional trains of the series in 2240 used on the route between Castanheira do Ribajeto and Santa Apolonia.
