The Cracow University of Economics (Polish: Uniwersytet Ekonomiczny in Krakow ) is a business school, founded in 1925 in the Polish city of Krakow with four faculties. Rector of the University is Prof. Roman Niestroj. Today it is the largest Polish business school.

At the foundation of the university had the name wyższe study Handlowe, 1937, she was renamed Akademia Handlowa. As a university in the People's Republic of Poland in 1950, she received the name Wyższa SzkoĹ Ekonomiczna and 1975 Akademia Ekonomiczna in Krakow. The latter name she wore to the renaming on 25 August, 2007 Uniwersytet Ekonomiczny in Krakow.

Faculties

The university has four faculties:

  • Finance
  • Economics and International Relations
  • Trade theory
  • Management

And a research department, which, inter alia, research on topics such as regional structural change, management of small and medium enterprises as well as transformation of socialist economies.
