Craig A. Anderson

Craig A. Anderson ( born 1952 ) is an American psychologist.

After a B. A. (1976 ) from Butler University Anderson made his MA and in 1980 his PhD at Stanford University. He then taught at Rice University, interrupted by a guest lecturer at Ohio State University (1984 /85). In 1988 he moved to the University of Missouri. Since 1999, Anderson has been a professor at Iowa State University and director of the Department of Psychology.

His research on the effect of fictional violence, about the influence of video games on children, are controversial.

He is a Fellow of the American Psychological Society and the American Psychological Association. Anderson is also a member of the Executive Council of the International Society for Research on Aggression.
