Craig Adams (ice hockey)

Craig Adams ( born April 26, 1977 in Seria, Brunei ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is currently with the Pittsburgh Penguins in the National Hockey League contract.

Career

Craig Adams was selected during the NHL Entry Draft in 1996 as a total of 223 players in the ninth round of the Hartford Whalers - thus he was the last player in the history of the Whalers they ever selected in a draft. From 1995 to 1999 Adams played for the hockey team at Harvard University in the ECAC Hockey. He then moved to the Cincinnati Cyclones of the International Hockey League. During the 2000/ 01 season, Adams made his debut in the National Hockey League for the Carolina Hurricanes, where he played until 2004. During the lockout in the NHL during the 2004/ 05 season, the attacker was at the HC Milano Vipers from the Italian Serie A under contract, for which he scored 29 points scorer, including 15 goals in 30 games.

Following the resumption of gaming operations in NHL Adams received as a free agent contract with his former club Carolina Hurricanes. With Carolina, he won in the 2005 /06 Stanley Cup Playoff games and came in 25 for use. In the same season he played 13 games for the former farm team the Hurricanes, the Lowell Lock Monsters.

On 17 January 2008, Adams was given in exchange for a performance- contingent right to vote during the NHL Entry Draft in 2009 to the Chicago Blackhawks.
