Craig Barrett (athlete)

Craig Barrett ( Craig Barrett Michael, born November 16, 1971 in Opunake ) is a former New Zealand mountaineers, whose specialty track was the 50 -km distance.

A seventh place finish at the 1999 World Cup in Seville was followed by a 18th place finish at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney. In 2001 he gave up at the World Championships in Edmonton.

He celebrated his biggest success in the following year, when he won in Manchester silver at the 2002 Commonwealth Games. In 2003, he was disqualified at the World Championships in Paris / Saint- Denis, and in 2004 he won at the Olympic Games in Athens in the 29th place. At the 2005 World Championships in Helsinki, he was disqualified again, at the 2006 Commonwealth Games, he finished fourth.
