Craig George Cathcart ( born February 6, 1989 in Belfast ) is a Northern Irish footballer who plays in the position of central defender and is currently at FC Blackpool under contract.

Career

Manchester United

Craig Cathcart moved in 2005 into the youth academy of Manchester United and played in the aftermath of the different youth teams. Since its potential for use were very low in the first team, the club gave him in 2007 at Royal Antwerp in the Belgian second division. The following season he spent a season on loan at Plymouth Argyle in the Football League Championship 2008 /09. Cathcart has distinguished himself as a regular for the English second division and reached with his team just to avoid relegation.
