Craig Darby

Craig Darby ( born September 26, 1972 in Oneida, New York ) is a retired American professional ice hockey player ( striker ), the well during his career for the Montreal Canadiens, New York Islanders, Philadelphia Flyers and New Jersey Devils of the National Hockey League Augsburger Panther in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga played.

Career

Darby began his career for the Providence College in Rhode Iceland. In his first year he was pulled from the Montreal Canadiens at the 43rd NHL Entry Draft in 1991. However, he played one more season in Providence before it was used for the former farm team the Canadiens, the Fredericton Canadiens.

After two successful seasons for the Fredericton Canadiens its first use in the NHL came. 1994/95 he completed 10 games for the Canadiens before joining the team of the New York Islanders, along with Kirk Muller and Mathieu Schneider in exchange for Pierre Turgeon and Vladimir Malakhov. In 1996 came the move to the Philadelphia Flyers where Darby graduated from the most games for the farm team Philadelphia Phantoms.

In 1998, he was pulled from the Nashville Predators in an Expansion Draft, but returned in 1999 back to the Montreal Canadiens to have denied without a game for the Predators. Back in Montreal, Darby had his best time in the NHL. In 154 games, he was able to achieve 45 points. In the season 2002/ 03 he moved to the New Jersey Devils where he not prevailed and the largest part in the AHL farm team in the Albany River Rats spent. Even after moving to Tampa Bay Lightning and later to the Vancouver Canucks, he played the entire season in the AHL.

After the end of his contract in the summer of 2006, Darby moved to German club Augsburger Panther in the German Hockey League. For the 2007 /08 season he signed a contract with the HC Innsbruck and joined the Erste Bank Hockey League. Following this season of Americans ended his professional career.
