Craig Federighi

Craig Federighi is the senior vice president of software development at Apple.

Federighi holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor 's degree in Electrical Development and Computer Science at the University of California.

Career

Initially Federighi worked at Steve Jobs' company NeXT Computer, where he led the development of the Enterprise Objects Framework. After his tenure at NeXT he worked briefly at Apple before he was Chief Technology Officer at Ariba.

Return to Apple

In 2009, Federighi returned to Apple and took over the management of OS X development. In March 2011 he joined the successor of Bertrand Serlet as Vice President for Mac software engineering, before he was promoted to senior vice president in late August, 2012. On 29 October 2012, after the announcement of Scott Forstalls resignation at Apple Federighis range of tasks has been extended to the management of the iOS software development in addition to the Mac software development.
