Craig Forrest

Craig Forrest ( born September 20, 1967 in Vancouver, British Columbia) is a former Canadian football player. The goalkeeper played his career in England.

Career

Forrest in 1985 Ipswich Town followed, for a total of 263 league games he played until 1997. This does not mean that he did not play for other clubs. After he had not gone in the first 3 years of existence via a reservist, he was loaned to Colchester United, for whom he was able to record 11 appearances in 1987/ 1988. Then, however, he had made ​​the breakthrough and remained the number one of Ipswich until 1997. Then he moved to West Ham United, for which only the first year but he was the number 1, then he gradually became No. 2 Nevertheless, he remained with this club until 2002, when his career was ended by a cancer, which he survived.

In 1988, he was first appointed to the Canadian national team. Until 2002, he played 56 international matches and is thus record holder for Canadian goalkeeper.

Since 2007, Forrest is a member of the Canadian Soccer Hall of Fame.
