Crash Test Dummies

The Crash Test Dummies [ ˌ kɹæʃ tɛst dʌmi ː z] are a Canadian rock band. It was founded in the late 1980s in Winnipeg.

Career

As the lead singer Brad Roberts ( born January 10, 1964 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, actually Bradley Kenneth Roberts), known for his distinctive deep voice, until the early 1990s, working on his dissertation, the band was initially occur only occasionally in clubs. In 1991, they finally got a record deal.

The first publication of The Ghosts That Haunt Me from the same year reached in Canada went straight to number one in the album charts.

In 1993 their second album God Shuffled His Feet, which was not only a success in Canada appeared. The song Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm was successful worldwide. Because of this hits the band is considered a one hit wonder.

In subsequent years, although six more CDs of the band were released, the success of the second album could not reach it. Albums like Puss ' n ' Boots (2003) and Songs Of The Unforgiven (2004) were hardly noticed.
