Crazy Sue

Crazy Sue is a computer game that was released in 1990 in Issue 1 of the English Amiga magazine Amiga Fun ( MC Publishing Publications). The game is a typical jump 'n run game.

Game play

The player controls the character by joystick, a little girl named Crazy Sue. The game world scrolls exclusively horizontal, and in some levels the scroll direction is determined fixed, so you must always run from left to right. There are various bonus items confer the additional properties. A jump Moon confers the ability to jump very high, and a lollipop it possible to fight monsters.

The main objective of the game is to reach the end of a level without you die or run out of time.

Action

The history that we learn at the title screen, is very short. Crazy Sue lives in the country Ereanor where an evil wizard, the wizard of Doom, enslaved the population. Levels

  • The publisher MC Publications, drove the magazine Amiga Fun and Crazy Sue published there in Issue 1, was later acquired by Computec Verlag, and the game was out of this in 1991 on the first Amigo! Disk, a disk magazine, in the German - published speaking world. Another publication gave it as PD Soft 2448 disk where the game has been declared as public domain game.
  • The developers of the game appear as Thorin Oakenshield Hironymus Jumpshoe and plug for programming and DJ Brain Crack for graphics and sound, it is, however, no information what people really behind it.
  • For the C64, an adaptation of the game appeared in the 64th issue 4/ 93 of the disk magazine Magic Disk.
  • From the publishing house also has a PC and Atari ST version was commissioned which was implemented by the Agency Denker & Barile. The PC and Atari ST version was true then shipped on a 3.5 " floppy disk for both systems ultimately but then replaced by a second port for the PC.

Crazy Sue Goes On

Crazy Sue Goes On is a 2D jump 'n ' run game, which was released in 1992 in an issue of Amiga floppy Fun magazine of Computec Verlag. The game is the sequel to Crazy Sue, and the player again takes on the role of the little girl named Crazy Sue, and must fight this time the wife of the evil Wizard of Doom, whom she defeated in the first part.

Game play

The gameplay is almost identical to that of Crazy Sue, but the levels were bigger and more complex. The scrolling takes place, but still only in the horizontal direction. The only difference is in the level design and some little things, the player must often several times to return to places and climb around in large levels. There are also some time-limited bonus items that can only be activated at specific temples. Such a thing did not exist in the first game.

Action

The plot is directly linked to Crazy Sue. The Wizard of Doom is defeated, but his wife, the Mistress of Death, the population of Ereador now preparing grief, and steals in addition Crazy Sue 's Teddy Bear. And so this is on his way to rescue her teddy bear, and to defeat the evil witch.

Levels

The game is divided into four levels. Compared to the 10 levels from the first part but they are significantly larger and cross-linked, so that the game in total about the same length.   • On the C64 there was no version of Crazy Sue Goes On, but another sequel with the name Crazy Sue Plus, the two have nothing in common but other than the predecessor.
