CRC Press

The CRC Press, based in Boca Raton, Florida, is one of the largest publishers of scientific reference books. Since 2003 he is part of the publishing group Taylor & Francis and above for information since 2004. The oldest and best-known product of the publisher is the CRC Handbook of Chemistry and Physics, which appeared in 94 editions since 1913 ( 2650 pages, ISBN 978-1-4665-7114-3 ).

Originally founded as a supplier of laboratory equipment, announced the Chemical Rubber Company ( CRC) out even simple table works. The first major was 1913, the first edition of the CRC Handbook of Chemistry and Physics, which comprised 116 pages. 1973 sold the CRC the trading business and changed its name to CRC Press. 1986, the publishing house was taken over by the Times Mirror Company, which resold it in 2003 to Taylor and Francis.
