The Yellow -browed Brillenvogel ( Lophozosterops superciliaris ) is a species of bird in the family of white-eyes.

Description

The Yellow -browed Brillenvogel reaches a length of 12.7 centimeters. The top is olive green. Mantle and rump are vivid olive green. The skull is greenish olive with a dark brown blurring. The head is characterized by a pale sulfur- yellow bridle line. About the bridle line, a sulfur- yellow eyebrow stripe can be seen pulling up to the temple. To the iris is a white eye-ring. The sides of the head are olive-gray with a silvery sheen. The underside is sulfur yellow. The flanks are washed-out olive green. His singing consists of bubbling trills.

Habitat and behavior

The Yellow -browed Brillenvogel occurs on the Indonesian islands of Sumbawa and Flores. It inhabits mountain forests at altitudes 1000-2100 m. The most numerous it can be observed in closed forests at altitudes 1600-1800 m. He lives in the middle forest floor and goes in small groups in search of food. Occasionally, it is also found in mixed flocks of birds. Its food consists of insects.
