Credit River

The Credit River (French Rivière Credit ) is a tributary of Lake Ontario in the Canadian province of Ontario.

The Credit River has its origin in Orangeville Reservoir in Orangeville near the Niagara Escarpment. The reservoir is leaving the Credit River to the east. The north to Lake Huron flowing Nottawasaga River forms a second outlet of the reservoir.

The Credit River flows through the Forks of the Credit Provincial Park and takes the Little Credit River from the left. He passed through the towns of Caledon, Georgetown and Mississauga. Finally, the Credit River flows near Port Credit in the western end of Lake Ontario. The Credit River has a length of about 90 km.
