Cretic
Kretikus (Greek kretikos, also Cretan verse or Amphimacer ) referred to in the prosody a metrical foot of three syllables ancient, in which a short syllable of two long syllables is included. It is formed by the omission of a brief ( syncopate ) in iambic or trochaic meter: In iambic by painting the first, trochee by painting the last shortly.
