Cricket Viktoria Magdeburg

The Fucc Cricket Viktoria Magdeburg in 1897 was a football club and cricket club in the city of Magdeburg. He was FC Magdeburg and Good shock fucc Regatta Magdeburg founded on June 16, 1897 through a merger of the two clubs.

Cricket Victoria joined in 1900 the newly founded Association of Magdeburg ball game clubs ( VMBV ) and with several teams took part in the championships. After disputes with the board of VMBV as well as with local rivals FC Viktoria Magdeburg 1896 Cricket Viktoria performed on 24 February 1903 from from the association and founded with other clubs Magdeburg Magdeburg Sports Federation. Two months later came Cricket Viktoria Magdeburg the Association Ballgame clubs again at. On January 28, 1900 Cricket Victoria was one of the founding members of the German Football Association.

1908 played one of the first German national team in the ranks of Cricket Victoria. Ernst defender Jordan stood at the premiere game of the German national football team, a 3:5 defeat in Switzerland, on the court.

Only in the 1909/10 season won Cricket Viktoria his first championship in 1a class in Mittelelbgau. Until the outbreak of the First World War, the club was able to defend his championship title every year. After the war the club was then first division side district for many years, after the rise in the Gauliga center in the season 1933/34, played Cricket Victoria until 1942, but again top notch.

From 1897 to 1912 home games were played at the " Great Cracauer Anger", but occasionally on the "little Cracauer Anger". On weekdays the "star field" was used. 1912 was built in Cracau with the " Cricketer sports field " own stadium in the Jerichower road. Because of the imminent demolition of the stadium had to Cricket Victoria in 1938 to move to the Magdeburg's Old Town and from then deliver its home games at the Police Stadium on Hasselbachplatz. After the Second World War, the club was founded in 1945 banned and dissolved.
