Cristina Flutur
Cristina Flutur (* 1978 in Iaşi ) is a Romanian theater and film actress. Notoriety she gained through her film debut in the award- winning drama Beyond the Hill (2012 ).
Biography
Cristina Flutur began language studies at the University of Alexandru Ioan Cuza in her hometown of Iasi. After graduating in 2000, she moved to acting. Flutur began studying acting at the Babeş -Bolyai University in Cluj- Napoca, which she finished in 2004. After that, she joined the ensemble of the National Theatre " Radu Stanca " Sibiu. There it began both in classical music of Shakespeare and Chekhov ( The Seagull, 2007; Director: Andrei Serban ) and modern fabrics by John Steinbeck or Eugène Ionesco in appearance. Also was Flutur in Romanian contemporary performances such as Viata cu un idiot (2007, dt " Life with an Idiot " ) to see under the direction of Andrij Scholdak. Flutur has worked with such well-known directors such as Silviu Purcărete, Vlad Massaci, Tompa Gabor and Gavriil Pinte.
2012 was Flutur her film debut in Cristian Mungiu's film Beyond the hill. In the drama they can be seen as a confused young woman that her beloved childhood friend from the children's home days -. A novice in a small, secluded monastery (played by Cosmina Stratan ) - tries to inspire desperate for a life together in Germany They must defend himself against the priesthood, soon the obsession is suspected and dies as a result of an exorcism performed. Mungiu got the inspiration for his screenplay of two non-fiction books of the Romanian BBC journalist Tatiana Niculescu Bran, who had documented a 2005 fatal exorcism on a 23 -year-olds in Tanacu ( Vaslui county ).
Dupa dealuri received in 2012 an invitation to compete in the 65th International Film Festival of Cannes, where Flutur and Stratan were awarded the Best Actor Award of the film festival. For her portraits of Alina and Voichita the jury had given to the Italian actor and director Nanni Moretti to untried in the cinema actresses in preference to such well-known actresses such as Nicole Kidman ( The Paperboy ) or Marion Cotillard ( The taste of rust and bones). Flutur and Stratan, the first Romanian actresses who could triumph in Cannes.
