Cristina Gutiérrez-Cortines

Cristina Gutiérrez- Cortines Corral ( born December 17, 1939 in Madrid) is a Spanish politician of the Partido Popular.

Gutiérrez- Cortines, Ph.D., is professor of art history. She is active in research in the fields of art, architecture, urban planning and urban history, as well as in the testing of new technologies in art history. From 1978 to 1993 she was director of a department of the University of Murcia, from 1989 to 1995 director of the arts section of the magazine La Verdad. Later, she was a consultant for Education and Culture in the Government of the Region of Murcia and directed a course for sustainable development and conservation of the historical heritage and the natural heritage of the Botin Foundation. Since 1999 she is a member of the European Parliament.
