Cristina Scabbia
Cristina Adriana Chiara Scabbia ( born June 6, 1972 in Milan ) is an Italian Metal singer. Scabbia is since 1996 the Italian singer Gothic-Metal-/Alternative-Metal-Band Lacuna Coil. Since 2004, Scabbia is with James Root, one of the two guitarists from Slipknot, romantically involved.

1991 Scabbia began her professional career by she performed as a singer in various bands. In 1994 she met the singer Andrea Ferro and bass player Marco Coti Zelati in the midnight club of Milan, the members of the band Sleep of Right were. Scabbia was initially hired only for one-time recording of the background song of a demo tape the band. However, the band members liked the way how the male singing Ferro harmonized with the female vocals Scabbias, so she was asked to become a permanent member of the band. After recording Scabbias the band changed its name first in Ethereal. Later, finally, with the composition of Cristina Scabbia, Andrea Ferro, Marco Coti- Zelati, Claudio Leo, and Leonardo Forti Raffaele Zagaria, the band Lacuna Coil renamed.

- 2007 Scabbia received the Metal Icon of the annual Metal Hammer Awards.
- 2007 Scabbia was awarded for the fifth time in a row by the readers of British music magazine Terrorizer the title of "Most Shaggable Female".
