Cristino Seriche Bioko

Cristino Seriche Malabo Bioko ( * 1940? ) Was 1982-1992 Prime Minister of Equatorial Guinea.

Political career

It belongs to the minority of the Bubi, who live mainly on the island of Bioko. As the future president Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo he attended until 1964, the Military Academy of Zaragoza. In 1979 he was involved in the coup against Obiang Nguemas his uncle Francisco Macías Nguema.

After introduction of the abolished by independence in 1968 the Office of the Prime Minister under a new constitution, he took on April 14, 1982 this position under President Obiang Nguema. Previously, he was Minister of Public Works, Urban Development and Transport. Since the power was in the hands of the president, his influence was limited. After the founding of the Unity Party Partido Democrático de Guinea Ecuatorial ( PDGE ) by the President in 1987, he joined this like all politicians of the country. His term ended on March 4, 1992.

He founded in 2004 the opposition party VDDC that seeks the replacement Obiang Nguemas.
