Cristo de la Concordia

The Christ statue Cristo de la Concordia is in Cochabamba, Bolivia.

The 34.2 meter statue is with the 6.24 m high platform 40.44 m high and thus after the 2010 built in Poland Statue of Świebodzin the second highest statue of Christ in the world. César and Wálter Terrazas Pardo they were modeled after Cristo Redentor (English: Christ the Redeemer ) built of reinforced concrete in Rio de Janeiro. The head of the statue is 4.64 meters high and weighs 11.85 tons. Her arms have a wingspan of 32.87 m.

The statue weighs around 2,200 tons and stands at 2840 m altitude. It is about 1399 steps to walk and offers a view over Cochabamba, the Cerro San Pedro and the surrounding area. Foundation stone was laid on 12 July 1987. On 20 November 1994, the construction was completed.
