Croatian Party of Pensioners

The Croatian Party of Pensioners (HSU ) ( kroat. Hrvatska stranka umirovljenika ) is a party in Croatia, dedicated to individual political issues. The current party chairman provides Vladimir Jordan.

In the penultimate parliamentary elections on 23 November 2003 4.0% of the Croatian population voted for the Pensioners' Party, which thus for the first time moved into the Croatian Parliament. The party won 3 out of 151 seats, which was certainly a big surprise. The party operation namely a very moderate, if at all showy election campaign. The HSU has been named the mathematical election winner, as their electoral support increased fourfold since the last election.

In the last parliamentary elections in 2007, the HSU only reached a seat in Parliament.

The HSU is currently in coalition with the HDZ under Ivo Sanader.
