Features

Of the alligators and particularly from Gavial, the only extant representative of the gavials, the rights crocodiles differ mainly by features of the skull. For them (as with the alligators ) the nasal bones collide with the premaxillary. The muzzle is broad and not usually specialized for particular fishing methods. The lower teeth grab all the pits in the upper jaw, but unlike the alligators engages the fourth gear in a gap and is externally visible even when the mouth is closed.
