Cromstrijen

( Listen? / I ) Cromstrijen is a municipality in the Netherlands, South Holland Province with a total area of ​​70.34 km ² and population on 1 January 2013 of 12,760.

The community was named after an existing around 1500 glory Cromstrijen 1984. It consists of two villages that were their own communities to 1984:

  • Numansdorp, which originated in the 17th century with a church of this era and the town hall of the municipality.
  • Klaaswaal, which originated in the 16th century.

Conditions, economy, attractions

The community at the Hollands Diep in the south of the polder Hoeksche Waard, not far from Willemstad, Gem Moerdijk is from the highway Rotterdam - crosses Bergen op Zoom. Most of the inhabitants live on agriculture or are commuters who work in Rotterdam and Dordrecht. In both villages are some remarkable, old farmhouses with thatched roofs. About the polder dikes cycling are possible. There is a campsite in the town and two small marinas.
