Geography

Cronheim is located in the Franconian Lake District, about seven kilometers west of Gunzenhausen.

History

In the 2nd century crossed in place two Roman military roads. Cronheim was first mentioned in 800 as the foundation of a man named Cracho. 1140 a castle was built, which burned down after repeated extension 1403.
