Cronk ny Merriu ( engl. the hills of the Dead) is one of about 20 Promontory forts on the coast of the Isle of Man in the UK. It is located in the south on the east side of the island near Santon, overlooking the small natural harbor of Port Grenaugh. It's a small investment from the Iron Age ramparts and moats, which does not have its own supply of water and thus how many plants of this type was unsuitable for military purposes. The high location provides good views of the surrounding coastline.

Built at about the time of Christ, during the Celtic Iron Age, the complex during the Norse period from the 8th century, was used again. Behind the Wall line are the remains of a settlement. The foundations of a nearly rectangular building from this period are visible. It has three doors and a central fireplace.
