The Cross County is a county located in the U.S. state of Arkansas. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is in Wynne.

Geography

The County is located in northeastern Arkansas and the east is about 50 km from the Mississippi River, which forms the border with Tennessee. The Cross County was formed on November 15, 1862 from parts of Crittenden County, Poinsett County and the St. Francis County. It was named after David Cross, a colonel in the Confederate army.
