Cross docking

The term cross docking or Kreuzverkupplung denotes a Warenumschlagsart, during delivery by the supplier ( consignor ) are supplied pre-picked. This means that the storage process and the corresponding activity of the stock bearing accounts.

The conceptual opposite of the Cross docking is the varietal delivery, storage and subsequent picking of goods in a warehouse.
