Cross for Military Valour

The Croix de la Valeur Militaire (German Military Merit Cross ) was founded on October 12, 1956 by decree and is to honor individuals for military services in war zones provided, but not eligible for award of the Croix de guerre in question.

The award is made by the French Minister of Defense or persons authorized by him.

Appearance

The decoration is a product manufactured from bronze cross, meanwhile, cross arms runs a dense laurel wreath. In the attached medallion, turned up to the right length portrait of Marianne can be seen. REPUBLIQUE FRANCAISE all around ( French Republic ). On the back of the four-line inscription CROIX DE LA VALEUR MILITAIRE place ( Cross of Military Merit ).
