Crosstraining

As a cross-training (also: cross-training ) in the field of sport is defined as the simultaneous training in various sports that will complement with respect to a particular objective. A common objective with crosstraining is the uniform strengthening of as many muscle groups ( for example, by combining the sports rowing and jogging) or the uniform improvement of the properties endurance and maximal strength. Other objectives are to increase the performance in a specific sport or the motivation of a top athlete in fulfillment of a training plan.

Cross Training in the Martial Arts

A common form of cross training in the field of martial arts and martial arts ( here often called Cross Fight ) consists of the combination of a fighting style that emphasizes punching and kicking techniques in the standing position ( for example, Muay Thai ), with another fighting style, mainly rings generic elements and the fight on the ground, including ( for example, Luta Livre ). Even styles that emphasize the use of weapons ( for example, Escrima ), are often integrated into a cross-training. The aim of this type of cross training is to be prepared for as many potential situations of physical confrontation.
