Crotalus totonacus

Crotalus totonacus is a species of rattlesnakes (Crotalus ), whose distribution extends from Mexico to Central America. Until 2004 this species as a subspecies of the Neotropical rattlesnake (C. durissus ) was performed.

Features

Crotalus totonacus is a relatively large species of rattlesnakes with a body length of adult individuals of more than 1.50 meters. The longest known specimen was 1,665 feet long.

Dissemination

The range of the snake extends from northeastern Mexico in central Nuevo León through southern Tamaulipas, northern Veracruz, eastern San Luis Potosí and northern Querétaro.
