Crowfoot Glacier

The Crowfoot Glacier ( German " crowfoot glacier ") is a glacier, which is located in Banff National Park in Alberta, the westernmost of Canada's Prairie Provinces. It is located about 32 km from Lake Louise and can be seen from the Icefields Parkway. The glacier provides water for the Bow River. Since the end of the Little Ice Age, the glacier is in decline. In the 1980s, he covered an area of ​​1.5 km ² and was part of a small ice field with an area of ​​5 km ².
