When Plattmenage (also Platmenage, table centerpiece ) is a part of the dinnerware for storage of table spices. Classic are housed on a plate -like support pepper, salt, oil and vinegar. In addition to this also condiments such as table mustard, Maggi, soy sauce or chili powder can occur. More modern forms of Plattmenage deviate from the classic plate shape and resemble more a tray. In addition to storage, the Plattmenage used mainly for handy and quick serving of spices for personal seasoning when eating.

In Swiss Restaurants belongs to Plattmenage along with salt, pepper and toothpicks traditional Maggi and aromatic. In the English-speaking such spice combinations are referred to as condiment sets.
