Crunk

Crunk is a subgenre of hip hop that comes from the southern United States, especially the area around Atlanta ( Georgia). Crunk combines elements of the Dirty South, the electronic dance music and the bass music to a hard, aggressive, but clubby sound.

The founder and first commercially successful artists in the early 1990s were Three 6 Mafia, Lil Jon Get Crunk with, Who U Wit: Da Album, and Master P. The mainstream audience reach of Crunk in 2004, when the single Yeah the R 'n ' B singer Usher, which was produced by the self-proclaimed King of Crunk Lil Jon, 4 weeks ranked No. 1 on the German charts.
