Crusnes

Crusnes ( Luxembourgish: Krongen ) is a commune with 1626 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Meurthe -et -Moselle in the Lorraine region.

Geography

In Crusnes springs from the same river Crusnes, a tributary of the Chiers. Crusnes is located south of Villerupt. Neighboring municipalities are Villerupt in the north, Audun -le- Tiche in the northeast, Aumetz in the east, the south and Errouville Bréhain -la -Ville in the West. South of the community core runs the Route nationale 52 (N 52).

History

The town was first mentioned in 636 as Cruna Fluviolu.

From 1989 to 2010, Serge Bertelle ( Parti Communiste Français) mayor, since 2010, it is Alain Eckel ( Parti Communiste Français). In 2014 local elections.
