Crystal Lynn Bowersox (* August 4, 1985 at Elliston, Ohio) is an American singer- songwriter. In 2010 she took part in the ninth season of American Idol and reached the second place.

Life
Crystal Bowersox was born on August 4, 1985 in Elliston (Ohio ). She went to Oak Harbor ( Ohio) at the high school and Toledo ( Ohio) at the School for the Arts. Bowersox is a single mother of a son.
American Idol
She sang in Chicago (Illinois ). Throughout the season Bowersox was a favorite of the jury and got good reviews. She was never the last two or three ( english bottom two or three). On 25 May 2010 Bowersox Lee DeWyze lost the final. So it was since Jordin Sparks ( 2007), the first woman in the final.
