Gloria CFR Arad was a Romanian football club from Arad.

History

Gloria CFR Arad was built in 1922 by the merger of the Association founded in 1913 Gloria Arad and the Association Founded in 1921, CFR Arad. In the seasons 1922/23 and 1928/29, Gloria CFR could qualify for the finals of the Romanian Football Championship, but failed each already in the quarterfinals. 1929/30, made ​​the jump to the final, which was, however, lost 0-3 to Juventus Bucharest. 1932 belonged to Gloria CFR to the 14 teams that participated in the operation of the newly founded League Divizia A. After the 1933/34 season, the merger between Gloria and CFR was released again and the two clubs took part again under its old name of the game operation. The place of Gloria CFR Arad in Divizia A took a while Gloria Arad.
