C & S Wholesale Grocers ( CSWG ) is a wholesale company with its headquarters in Keene in the U.S. state of New Hampshire. The company is privately held and heard, according to Forbes 's 100 largest non-listed companies in the United States. According to Forbes, the company was in 2008 at No. 12, the company is privately owned.
The company started with a warehouse in Massachusetts and now sells 70 offices in twelve states with a total storage area of around 1,700,000 m² approximately 53,000 different items to 5,000 different retail companies. Its products include agricultural products, meat and dairy products, deli products, fresh and frozen bakery products, bath and body products, confectionery and tobacco.
The company's customers include Pathmark, Safeway Inc., Food Giant Stores, Shaw 's Supermarkets, Stop & Shop, A & P Supermarkets, Big Y Foods, Target Corporation, Great American, SavMart / Foodmax, Demoulas and other independent retailers and supermarket owner or operator.
Legal proceedings
In April 2006, brought three former occupier and an even employee of the company filed a lawsuit in a U.S. district court.
