CSU Voința Sibiu

CSU Sibiu vointa was a Romanian football club based in Sibiu. He played in the Liga II, the second Romanian football league.

History

CSU vointa Sibiu was founded by the Romanian businessman Ioan Hambasan 2007. In collaboration with Klaus Johannis, the mayor of the city, he continued the football tradition in Sibiu after the dissolution of the clubs FC Inter Sibiu in 2003 and FC Sibiu in 2007 continued. From 2009 to 2011 the newly formed club reach three consecutive ascents of IV League to League 1, a one-time performance in Romanian football.

In summer 2009, Marius Baciu finished his playing career at Gaz Metan Medias and took over as coach at vointa, which had in the relegation against retezatul Haţeg, the winner of the League IV in Hunedoara County, enforced.
